Over the past few days I have picked out five festive films for your perusal. They’ve definitely helped me get in the mood for Christmas, hopefully they’ve helped you too.
If you missed any of my posts this week you can click on the links below.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
It’s a Wonderful Life
So that’s it from me for another year. Thanks to everyone who visited this site, I really do appreciate it.
All that’s left to say is Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a great one, and I’ll see you in the new year.
Hello everyone and welcome to Flick & Mix’s second annual Christmas countdown!
Last year I highlighted five festive films that help me get in the mood for Christmas each year. I had a great time watching them and sharing my opinions with you, so much so that I thought I’d do it again!
With different films … Obviously.
I didn’t write a post on here last week due to the internet not being ready in my new home, so apologies for that.
Now that the internet situation has been resolved, the next hurdle to overcome is the local weather. It’s been snowing pretty heavily here and, while it all looks pretty and festive, it does create a fresh set of transport issues.
With the weather being the way it is, I’ve had to spend more time at my parents’ house because of its closer proximity to work. This means that I haven’t been home much and haven’t had time to watch or play anything for me to write about.
That’s a lot of waffling just to say that I haven’t got a post ready for this week!
Sorry again, folks.
Evening all. I hope you’re all well.
I’m currently in the middle of moving house so I haven’t really had time to watch or play anything recently, which means that I haven’t got a post scheduled for this week. I’m sorry!
However, I haven’t missed a Friday post since February and I’m not going to let something trivial like moving home interfere with that! So in order to keep my weekly posts going, I thought I’d quickly drop by with this update.
So I’m sorry for the lack of content this week. I should be back on track next week with a nice wall of text for you to skim over. Fingers crossed!
Thanks for your time and I’ll see you next week.
This post marks my 100th post on Flick & Mix!
It took me a while to reach this milestone, probably because of my fifteen month hiatus where I did bugger all. I like to refer to that time as “My Little Wobble”, and you can read more about it here.
One year ago today I returned to this site, determined to bore some more people with my inane dribble. A year on and I’m celebrating my 100th post. That was a tad fortuitous, eh?
Anyways, thanks to all who have stumbled across these pages, and a special thank you to those who keep coming back. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been here once or a thousand times, the fact that you came here and took the time to read something really means a lot to me.
So thanks again, and here’s to another hundred posts…
Just a quick update for you all today. As this post goes live I’ll be well on my way to the Lake District with my family. We’re staying over there for a week which means that I won’t be as active on here as I’d like.
I’ll try to keep up to date with everybody’s posts while I’m away, but any writing will have to wait until I’m back in front of my keyboard. Writing anything on a Kindle is an absolute ball-ache!
I originally wanted to churn out a game backlog update this week but a four-day training course for work and last minute preparations for the holiday have completely monopolised my time.
I do have a review for Drive written up and ready to go from last week, but I decided to save that for next Friday and write this quick update for you instead. At least this way I get to brag about our trip to the Lakes and keep up with my weekly posts. I’m nice like that…
Anyways, that’s quite enough from me. Thanks for your time and I’ll see you when I get back!
I didn’t have a post scheduled for this week, so I thought I’d pop on with a quick update for you all instead.
Thanks very much to Michel over at Raistlin0903 for including me in this challenge! If you haven’t yet checked out his blog then please do so, it’s full of interesting content and is a real joy to read.
The challenge here is to describe five movies in exactly six words each. No more, no less.
- Choose five movies that you like.
- Create a six word synopsis for each movie.
- Include the above image.
- Tag five other bloggers and inform them.
- Have fun!
Over the past week I’ve been highlighting five movies that help me get in the mood for Christmas and, as a result, I’m now feeling suitably festive!
If you missed any of them, you can find them through the links below:
The Polar Express
The Muppet Christmas Carol
The Coca Cola advert on the telly tells me that it’s nearly Christmas. You know the one; the one where the massive lit up lorry trundles through snowy towns, handing out ice-cold bottles of fizzy pop to people who clearly would have preferred something a tad more warming. That one.
